Advanced Data-Comm Experiencing Growth

Advanced Data-Comm, a leading teleservices agency headquartered in Dubuque, IA, has

increased employment and added new clients in 2005.

Since January, company-wide employment has risen 17%, with Dubuque employment growing by 20%.     

This growth has been fueled by the signing of several new clients, in areas like catalog merchandising, energy sales, satellite installation, and automotive safety systems.

In addition, Advanced Data-Comm recently renewed contracts with two of their oldest – and largest – clients.  According to Bill Strauss, Senior Vice President of Sales and Client Services, these clients have produced some of the largest revenue growth in the company. 

Advanced Data-Comm’s growth has stemmed from their inbound customer service and market research sectors, which have grown by 37% and 19.5% respectively.  Not only has this growth added teleservices representative (TSR) positions, but also support positions in operations and client services.  In addition, Strauss anticipates a strong fourth quarter, where the holidays have traditionally increased call volume to Advanced Data-Comm’s consumer catalog business.  

Strauss added that the past year has been part of an ongoing transformation for Advanced Data-Comm.  To reduce overhead costs and bolster its competitive strengths, Advanced Data-Comm closed two centers and revamped its business model to focus more on core competencies. 

Despite the continuing challenges of increased overseas outsourcing and government regulation, Strauss believes Advanced Data-Comm is positioned to meet changing economic and business demands.  According to Strauss, “Advanced Data-Comm is continuing to transform itself, by focusing on ‘value-add, long-term business,’ which allows us to drive top line revenue and bottom line profitability to our clients.”

Advanced Data-Comm was founded in 1988 and provides inbound and outbound teleservices to over 100 clients nationwide.  The company operates four locations, including Oelwein and Dubuque, Iowa, and Superior and Ashland, Wisconsin.
